[NEAC GolfLeague] Raise $3000.00 to send 2 boxers and 1 coach to California for a chance to win a spot on US Olympic Team

Good evening,

This email is more of a personal request than a professional request.

There are two boxers from Nashua who fight out of the Nashua P.A.L. 
boxing gym and both have an opportunity to win spots on the U.S. Olympic 
Team if they qualify in their bouts in November. The qualifying bouts 
are in California and financially they are not sure they can make the 
trip. They need a total of $5085.00 (cost of airfare, hotel and car 
rental for two fighters and one coach).

They have managed to raise approximately $2000.00 to date, in their 
effort to make the trip.

I spoke with one of them personally and he is a humble, hardworking 
(works at Sam’s Club), 23 year old. I asked him what he felt his chances 
would be if he were to go and he, humbly, felt confident he could secure 
a spot. He admitted the only reason he would not be able to go is purely 
financial.

This is where I come in.

Having been active with P.A.L. as a Nashua Police Officer, I know 
firsthand the great work P.A.L. does, on very limited funding. I also 
know how hard these kids work to accomplish their dreams. These two and 
their coach are extra special to me, because the coach is a volunteer 
and these athletes are hardworking, humble (which is rare), and 
confidently mature. It is not often you see these qualities all come 
together at the same time at such young ages.

This is why I was compelled to take up their cause and ask you to join 
me in helping with this once in a lifetime and life altering opportunity 
for these young men.

Please find it in your heart to pledge and donate whatever amount you 
feel comfortable with, to help these men earn their spot on the U.S. 
Olympic Team. Also forward this email to your family and friends you 
feel could help in this effort.
