You're a better man than me.  If the fact that it was raining and that they kicked us off the course the previous week for our playoff hole didn't carry the argument, I would not have been as generous in my response as you were.  Before we decide who will or will not play, can we find out what time they are planning to close the course next Monday?  With a 4:34 PM tee time and a minimum time to complete a round as 2 hours that would mean they have to close the course AFTER 6:34 PM.  They closed it at 6:45 PM two weeks ago and the days have been getting shorter.  I would explain this to your friendly course manager and ask for earlier tee times or later course closing.  Maybe if they would offer free carts we could speed up play a bit!!!!!
