Hello

Welcome to the 17th year of the North End Golf League

I would like to try an experiment this? first flight... This is a new 
course
which is a bit more challenging (longer) and we do
have a number of members/subs? aging...?? So I would like
to try and adapt our league to the new conditions.

par3s and par5s *all* players have the option to tee off from the Yellow 
(senior) tees.
par4 are still from the whites.... For players to maintain GIN number or 
just want to...
 ?feel free to always play from the whites tees. Things can be changed 
in real time if it
is not working out or it is deemed as a bad idea.

The scoring is the same... 1pt for bogie, 2pts par, 3pts for birdie

$60 Member fee...? Make the check out to Dana Schalk or
Venmo at https://venmo.com/u/Dana-Schalk and cash is always works...

Note: Team numbers have changed for some

Hello

Welcome to the 17th year of the North End Golf League

I would like to try an experiment this  first flight... This is a new course
which is a bit more challenging (longer) and we do
have a number of members/subs  aging...   So I would like
to try and adapt our league to the new conditions.

par3s and par5s *all* players have the option to tee off from the Yellow (senior) tees.
par4 are still from the whites.... For players to maintain GIN number or just want to...
 feel free to always play from the whites tees. Things can be changed in real time if it
is not working out or it is deemed as a bad idea.

The scoring is the same... 1pt for bogie, 2pts par, 3pts for birdie

$60 Member fee...  Make the check out to Dana Schalk or
Venmo at https://venmo.com/u/Dana-Schalk and cash is always works...

Note: Team numbers have changed for some

                Looks like Bob and I (Team 3) are  going to be playing you this Monday and I wanted to see if you guys could be available early as we have some friends coming over in the evening and my wife has asked me to get out early and try to get back home sooner rather than later! Let me know if we could shoot out at 4 PM or even a few minutes before as I think the key box tends to be wide open before our 4pm league starts?  Totally understand if you can't though?

It has been suggested by a number of members that we try to make the 
Par4s on the back a bit more manageable...

So lets try this. On the back 9 par4s, you can tee off the green tees. 
Of course that is optional... but I hoping it will make things more 
manageable for the majority

Obviously you did not read Brian's email... Passaconaway's green tees 
are the third highest slope of all the courses around with the 
Passcconaway whites being the highest. The green slops are equal to NCC 
and higher that Overlook.

Looking at the scores you sent me this morning only 6 people out 34 
people that played had a positive score... Mostly +1 or +2 with the 
exception of Jack who had a +5 (Nice round Jack!)

It was also pointed out how quickly we got around... Having people hit 
fairways... will definitely speed things up.

Lets face it... What is the average age of our league, including subs? 
50 or 55+? Some in their 60s and some in their 70s.

All I'm trying to do make more enjoyable for everyone... not just the 
big hitters. If that is deemed "everyone gets a trophy"... so be it.

Based on Brian?s observations it looks like Passaconnoway whites are comparable to Green Meadow whites which we played on for many years. I had been indifferent to which tees but thanks to Brian?s findings I?m now on the side of playing from the whites.Alex

About the green tees... I've had 3 or 4 people push back, the majority 
does not care and a number of people think it was a good idea. So here 
is what I would like to do

  * 1st flight play from the greens, to learn the course
  * 2nd flight maybe move back to the whites... time will tell
  * Playoffs move to the blues... so nobody will score!?? (just
    kidding... we will figure it out).

For people keeping a GINs, we can not pick certain tees for certain 
holes... Plus it keeps things simpler teeing off the same tee, but feel 
free to tee off? any tee you what.

Hello
 
About the green tees... I've had 3 or 4 people push back, the majority does not care and a number of people think it was a good idea. So here is what I would like to do
    
   - 1st flight play from the greens, to learn the course    
 
   - 2nd flight maybe move back to the whites... time will tell
   - Playoffs move to the blues... so nobody will score!?? (just kidding... we will figure it out).
 
For people keeping a GINs, we can not pick certain tees for certain holes... Plus it keeps things simpler teeing off the same tee, but feel free to tee off? any tee you what.
