So far we've got 4-1/2 teams registered.? A great start.? Looking for two more individuals to fill out the half team. We are looking for more teams as well.==========

We're locked in.? We have 10 complete teams.? We may have our first tee time moved up a bit from 8:30 given our number of teams.? I'll let everyone know.? The first person listed with each team is the captain.? Captains are responsible for collecting the $20 from each player and getting it to me prior to the first tee time.
I'm going to ask the course of we can split our groups and tee off on both 1 and 10 simultaneously.? If we can, we'll shorten the wait time on the back end for everyone to finish.? I'll let you know.

My friendly duffers -?
Here's the lineup.? We've got 10 teams.? We're all teeing off on #1 and playing a bramble (take the best drive and play your own ball in from there).? The first tee time is 8:10.? We'll tee off every 9 minutes (faster if we can).? There's a group teeing off after us so we've got to keep the pace.
Dana Schalk will be collecting the $80 from each team.? Captains, get your money to him before he tees off.
If for some reason a team doesn't have four players (remember we have a wait list), please rotate the extra drive.
Everyone's drive must be used at least 4 times, par 3's included (there are 5 of them).
Because we've got 40 players we'll have a little fun with the payouts.? Here's my thinking.   
   - Five places based on your team score relative to your team quota.? See your team quotas below.? Turn your score into the scorekeeper (probably Cody Gauthier from the pro shop) as soon as you finish up your round.? We only need a couple of individual quotas to complete the teams - Gordon McQuaid and Steve Sweeny.
   
   - Bogey - 1 point
   - Par - 2 points
   - Birdie - 3 points
   - Eagle - 5 points
   - Hole-In-One - You're paying the bar bill
   
   - We'll do the longest drive on the front and back, #4 and #18 (in the fairway)
   - We'll do closest to the pin on #6 and #17 (on the green)
   - To give some of us older golfers a chance, we will do two groups for the longest drives - age 35 and under and over 35.? Same holes, we'll just record two winners on #4 and #18.
   - If any of the closest to the pins or longest drives don't have a winner we'll put the cash towards our bar bill at the end.
   - Tie breakers will be based on best scores of the hardest handicap holes.??

Hi Bob
Steve Sweeny is a 13.4 handicap which I think translates into needing 3 points for quota.???
The powers that be can determine what the quota should be from his handicap.

Well... I sacrificed my Friday's afternoon at Penuche's :-)

It turns out Monday Sept 30 would be better for them.
and I'm thinking more people could make it as well.

So not this Monday... But next Monday at Penuche's
at 6pm... pizza's arriving 6:15ish... (I'll send out
a reminder).

If you haven't already, let me know if you are
planing on coming... so I get account for the
pizzas.

 Gentlemen, unfortunately Barrett is unable to play this Sunday so we are looking for a 4th to fill his spot.? Can be league member or league sub.? If anyone is interested in playing let me know.? First person to reply gets the spot.? We are the 8:28 tee time.

   - Hole-In-One - You're paying the bar bill
   
   - We'll do the longest drive on the front and back, #4 and #18 (in the fairway)
   - We'll do closest to the pin on #6 and #17 (on the green)
   - To give some of us older golfers a chance, we will do two groups for the longest drives - age 35 and under and over 35.? Same holes, we'll just record two winners on #4 and #18.
   - If any of the closest to the pins or longest drives don't have a winner we'll put the cash towards our bar bill at the end.
   - Tie breakers will be based on best scores of the hardest handicap holes.??

I'm out!

I played yesterday in hopes of getting some practice
in for tomorrow... Today my back is extremely sore.

It just does not make any sense for me to drive all
way up there and not be able to play do a bad back.
Plus it would not be fair to my teammates either.

Andrew and? Patrick or anybody... There is another
open spot if you can fill it... Please do! it is an 8:46 tee time.

Good morning Bob,

Thank you for organizinbg this golf Tournament! Well done!

It was a whole lot of fun. It was good to see everyone!

Our foursome Captined by Bob Mack stood on the 1st tee and we agreed on 2 objectives: 1. Win the tournment(not sure why we even thought that was a possiblity :):) ) and 2. Have fun!

After a few holes and we had not put even one point on our score card, our chatter about the thought of winning the tournament shifted to that of just having fun and that we did!...... Although, at times that was somewhat challenging given that the course had " a mind of its own" :):)

Great day!  Look forward to next year's tournament

I'm thinking about using league scoring software next year.? I have no experience using any of them.? Can anyone recommend one?? I realize there may be a cost to this, but we'll address that when we have some options.

The Pizzas have been order and Penuche's knows we
are coming...

Note: They are tearing up the street in front of Penuche's
so parking it limited... I would suggest park on Orange st
or Lowell st or even the Stark House and walk down.
